The Prayer to
Saint Mother
Teresa
God, our loving Father, You have
given us a beautiful example of
love and action through Your daughter, Saint Mother Teresa.
in her life she showed us how
to follow Jesus by loving and
serving others.. She joyfully fed
the hungry, rallied for the poor
and unwanted, cared for the
sick and dying, and shelter
the homeless. May we imitate
how love and generosity by
rearching out to Your needy
ones. Thank You for the gift of
Saint Mother Teresa. May she
now rest in Your arms eternally.
Amen

Verse on the back:
Blessed Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Patron Of Missionaries (August 26, 1910 - September 5, 1997)
Pope John Paul II beatified Saint Mother Teresa of
Calcutta, founder of the Missionaries of Charity, on
October 19, 2003. The Church recognized her as Blessed
Mother Teresa of Calcutta, acknowledged that she
has attained the blessedness of heaven. The healing of an Indian
woman that occurred on the first anniversary of Saint Mother
Teresa's death was recognized by the Pope in 2002 as the miracle
required for beatification.
. St Mother Teresa entered the Loreto Convent in
Rathfamam, Ireland in 1928. She was sent to India in 1929, and
took her final vows there in 1937. After 15 years of teaching history
and geography Saint Mother Teresa "heard the call to give up all
and follow Christ into the slums to serve him among the poorest
of the poor". In 1948, after receiving permission from the Pope,
Saint Mother Teresa left her community to live as an independent
nun. As she began this new chapter, Saint Mother Teresa set aside
the habit she had worn as a Loreto sister and opted to wear the
ordinary dress of an Indian woman: a plain white sari and sandals.
in addition to the never-ending stream of human needs in the
poor she met. Saint Mother Teresa's found more help than she ever
imagined. While young women who would later become the core
of Saint Mother Teresa's order, can to volunteer their services,
others came forward to offer food, clothing, shelter, medical supplies, and money in 1950. Same Mother Teresa founded the
Congregation of the Missionaries of Charity. Nourish by the
faith, true compassion, and the tireless commitment of Saint
.Mother Teresa, The Missionaries of Charity now number 4000
sisters, and nearly 600 foundations in 123 countries.
