L'elfe sur l'étagère : une tradition de Noël est un livre d'images pour enfants de 2004, écrit par Carol Aebersold et sa fille Chanda Bell et illustré par Coë Steinwart. Le livre raconte une histoire sur le thème de Noël, écrite en rimes, qui explique comment le Père Noël sait qui est méchant et qui est gentil. Il décrit des elfes rendant visite aux enfants entre Thanksgiving et le réveillon de Noël, après quoi ils retournent au pôle Nord jusqu'aux prochaines fêtes de fin d'année. L'Elfe sur l'étagère est livré dans une boîte souvenir contenant un livre d'images relié et une petite peluche en forme d'elfe éclaireur lutin.
